Portraits are a more recent interest, mainly as a result of my family assuming I could and would want to photograph them. As a result I’ve found that I’m not too bad at this and really enjoy the work. My granddaughter has proved to be an excellent subject and as a result some of her baby friends have commissioned me to take their photos too.
My portraiture has spilled over into working for businesses that need good pictures for publicity reasons or for business cards etc and from that work I’ve been commissioned by individuals to take their less formal portraits and to photograph their families. I work from home, or I am equally happy to work on location in the client’s home or elsewhere. My studio lighting travels well, as does the rest of my photography equipment, so I am able to be very flexible in order to meet a client’s needs and requirements.
My portraiture prices are probably lower than many in the industry and this, honestly, is because I have not yet made my name as a people-photographer. I hope though, that if you look through my portfolio you will be encouraged to try me. In the unlikely event that you do not like the images that I take for you, there will be no charge, or I will be glad to re-take them!
